Karnataka poll date leak: Election Commission sets up probe panel
This decision, coming with a view on polls, could have huge ramifications as the Lingayats are a politically-influential community and form about 15% of the state’s population.

There are 15,42,000 young voters in the age group of 18-19 in 2018 as compared to 7,18,000 in 2013. Commission will issue notification for the elections on 17 to 24 April. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on April 25 and the last day for withdrawal is April 27.
