OnePlus 6 notch confirmed
OnePlus is well known for its ability to capture premium camera quality images.

Not only that, but the OnePlus co-founder also shared an official product image with the public, via The Verge.
The company has already rolled out gestures for navigation in OnePlus beta software and we also love the functionality, and not having to deal with on-screen navigation keys. The phone shown here carries a OnePlus logo in the centre, above which the fingerprint sensor and a dual camera setup rest. There are rumours that we might see the OnePlus 6 much earlier than its usual June launch.
We expect the OnePlus 6 to be announced in the near future. Not even Samsung who produces the displays for the iPhone X has opted for ditching the bottom chin, but as we all know, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ doesn’t have a top notch. Two of these companies, Oppo and Vivo recently embraced the display notch with the Oppo R15, Oppo F7, Vivo X21 and Vivo V9 smartphones.
While everyone is busy talking about “how bad it is the notch design on iPhone X”, Android manufacturers are blatantly copying Apple’s not so popular “Notch”. There will be a 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variant. The notch is important to OnePlus for maximising screen real estate, said OnePlus CEO Carl Pei, indicating the next OnePlus offering will sport the display notch. And the company will be following the same for the OnePlus 6 as well.
OnePlus is putting the notch on the OnePlus 6 because that’s the trend, and OnePlus is just following it, but in a better way, said Carl Pei. But it is in the external design and appearance that the OnePlus 6 may see some big changes. Apart from that, the leaked image also reveals the presence of a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille on the bottom edge of the handset.

It looks like the OnePlus 6’s notch is a lot smaller than what Apple implemented on the iPhone X and seems to be a lot closer to the notch on the Huawei P20. The device is expected to be the most expensive OnePlus till date; crossing the price range of Rs 40,000. “With the new design from Asus, the size of the notch has been further narrowed as compared to erstwhile implementation by others”, Dinesh Sharma, Director Mobile Product Center for Asus India had said.
