Partly sunny, with a high near 55.

Rain is likely this weekend, especially on Saturday with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

After a chilly day, temperatures will actually increase through the night, from around 50 degrees at sunset to almost 70 degrees by sunrise as a warm front rolls into North Texas. Severe threats are non-zero, but they still appear to be quite low at this time.

Today will be mostly cloudy with the chance for an isolated shower.

There is a slight chance for some sprinkles or potentially a light shower at some point in the day, but almost everyone can expect to stay dry.

Thursday: Cooler and drier air will move in behind the front. WeatherWatch says the tropical low may penetrate through, and the region can expect “westerly winds bringing rain”.

Clear skies tonight will allow temperatures to fall quickly into the 50s during the evening and continue drop into the 40s overnight with a lovely day ahead for our Thursday as afternoon highs warm into the middle 70s. Behind the front it will be chilly for the weekend. At this point, timing is still in question, but rain coverage has increased to 50% for the forecast. Temperatures won’t be that much cooler initially, but will drop into the upper 60s and low 70s across South MS by Thursday. Tuesday night, rain continues and temperatures hold steady or warm as the night goes on.

The National Weather Service outlook is for a high temperature around 74 degrees, with some clouds in the sky.
