Salman’s one of the closest friend from Bollywood Preity Zinta, who visited the actor in the jail yesterday, posted an inspirational message on Instagram that read “Hope is seeing light inspite of being surrounded by darkness”.

The court heard arguments on the suspension of sentence and bail application before deferring the matter till Saturday. He launched a charity called Being Human – The Salman Khan Foundation that took on various health and education initiatives and was seen participating in various philanthropic activities.
The actor spent a night at Jodhpur Central Jail, but his defence lawyers are appealing to the sessions court to seek relief for the actor, reports Economic Times.
The #court on Thursday pronounced the actor guilty with a 5-year jail term and Rs 10,000 penalty while others Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari and a local businessman were let off on “benefit of the doubt”.
The constitution grants him the option of filling the case in the higher courts and that he would do anyway. His co-stars were present in court for the verdict but were acquitted due to a lack of evidence.
Salman Khan’s conviction by a Jodhpur court has become a hot topic in India as well as in our neighbouring countries. Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi, who began hearing his bail request this morning for the second day, is expected to announce his decision then.
Some members of said community were among the 28 who stood witness against Khan, stating that he shot the animals during the filming of the 1998 movie “Hum Saath-Saath Hain”.
Salman’s counsels reached the court at around 1000 hrs. Moreover, the actor was also accused of killing two chinkaras in Bhawad and one in Mathania. Sources, however, said the Bollywood icon did not eat the jail food.
Besides, Asaram, the Jodhpur central jail houses Shambu Lal Raigar accused of Rajsamand hate crime.
But most big stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar, known for articulating their views and active on social media, stayed quiet.

“He never jumped the bail during the last 19 years”, Mr. Bora said. Not only for poaching, Khan was also accused of keeping an arm with an expired arm licence.
