The next generation Focus has as few as 26 configurations, depending on the global market, versus 360 for the current generation. Using the forward-facing camera, the lights will be angled into corners, and the glare-free high beam stops you accidentally dazzling other drivers.

Focus will also be well-connected with LTE connectivity and in-car WiFi. A base 2018 Focus in the USA starts at about $18,000, plus delivery.
And for the kids, or grown-up music fans, a new B&O PLAY sound system means music can be streamed via FordPass Connect or smartphone devices, through a 675 watt sound system. The next-generation Focus will be tailored to each global region. Shoulder-room increases by 2.4 inches and knee clearance and legroom grows by 2 inches and 2.8 inches, respectively. Prices for the hatch will start from £17,930 while the estate in Style trim will be priced from £19,050. This rises to £28,890 for a range-topping Vignale estate.
The net result, Ford say, is they can claim a 10pc reduction in emissions across the new Focus range.
