Mourinho set to drop players for United’s FA Cup semi-final
A first-half yellow card contributed to Mourinho’s decision, but the France worldwide had struggled to find the form that saw him score twice in the 3-2 victory at Manchester City.

Mourinho made his remarks after yet another hard afternoon for Paul Pogba, United’s record signing. “They beat us over the two games and that’s all you can say”.
“We are not going to spend more than we can. One of the things we have to improve is consistency”. We are not going to do anything insane.
“It hasn’t been lost, but people have taken the focus off what their jobs have been this season, so what we’ve tried to do is bring it all back together”.
“I only know one criteria – it is the way they play”.
United now travel to mid-table Bournemouth on Wednesday sitting only one point above third-place Liverpool, albeit with a game in hand, but with the added impetus of places available for the huge match against Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs on Saturday.
According to The Sun, Jesse Lingard was the ringleader in mocking City players for doing so after their 3-2 defeat, and his Manchester United team-mates were similarly vocal about their comeback victory on social media. “It is about the six”. He was heavily linked with the Red Devils right before the switch to PSG materialised last summer, but there’s no reason why a deal couldn’t happen this time around.
According to the Daily Mirror, Mourinho has been impressed by Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire, and he plans to make a move for the England worldwide in the summer. This is not good enough considering the amount of money which has been invested at Old Trafford in the last couple of years. United believe that a bid of £35million would get them their man in the transfer window.
United manager Jose Mourinho had long given up hopes of winning the title, instead focusing on finishing second.
United was too narrow and predictable, with wide players Alexis Sanchez and Juan Mata constantly cutting inside and leaving the midfield congested.

A week after City surrendered a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to United and squander the chance to wrap up the title in ideal style against their arch-rivals, it was relegation-bound West Brom who served it up on a plate.
