Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Won’t Have A Single Player Campaign
Kotaku claims that a Black Ops 4 Battle Royale mode will be released in 2018, although Treyarch will not be releasing a single-player campaign. “Paying the same price for what many will perceive as a smaller game may turn into a tough sell for the Call of Duty team”.

Instead, Black Ops 4 development at main studio Treyarch has been focused on multiplayer and the franchise’s staple Zombies mode, which is oriented towards a co-operative multiplayer experience. This type of online multiplayer is a last-player-standing type of mode that’s become widely popular thanks to games like “Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds” and “Fortnite”. Over time, Call of Duty evolved into a multiplayer-heavy game that brought out console esports. According to their sources, the developers are trying to get the mode to feature 100 players like PUBG. The shift in creative direction will make Black Ops 4 the first mainline Call of Duty to ship without a standard campaign. Battle Royale mode has been all the rage among players ever since its debut on PUBG and Fortnite. The first person-shooter established its reputation as a game with great single player campaigns. The latest entry, WWII, was no exception but it appears that Black Ops 4 is looking to break that mold.at least according to reports.
The CoD franchise distinguished its campaign mode in early games with stunning visualizations, cinematic storylines and unique missions that sent players on excursions of the past, present and future.
“We don’t comment on rumor and speculation”. The game is officially set to be revealed on May 17.
It’s all just a rumor at this time, and Activision isn’t talking. Sources already claimed that a single-player campaign simply wouldn’t be ready in time for Black Ops 4′s October release, leading to the brainwave of adding battle royale.

We’re not suggesting that Activision would ship a Battle Royale mode so bad that Rock Paper Shotgun notes, “If Radical Heights was any more early access, we might well be trying to play a design document”. It has been announced for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
