Reports indicated “Israeli intelligence uncovered a huge amount of new and dramatic information on the Iranian nuclear program”.

Pompeo and Netanyahu had a “very productive, very focused conversations on our common interests and how to defend our common values”, the Israeli Prime Minister said. “I hope Trump comes to his senses and stays in the deal”.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said the kingdom “supports the policy of the Trump administration against Iran and to improve the terms of the nuclear agreement with Iran”.

In reference to Iran’s alleged support for the Houthis, he said, “What is said erroneously with regard to Yemen is false, only aimed at deflecting the attention of the worldwide public opinion from the crimes being committed daily by Saudi Arabia in its aggression against the country”.

Later, in a series of tweets, Khamenei accuses the United States of creating instability in the Middle East, and warns it will “certainly suffer from defeat” if it confronts the Islamic Republic.

Pompeo will tell King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman among others that poor targeting by Saudi pilots in Yemen has done much to worsen the humanitarian situation.

Such charges are “a false problem, created exclusively for the goal of diverting the attention of worldwide public opinion from the atrocities committed by Saudi Arabia in its daily attacks” in Yemen, he said. “If these govt. officials gain some wisdom, they won’t confront the Islamic Republic; but, if they stand against Iran, they will certainly suffer from defeat”.

“They know if they enter military conflict with Iran, they will be hit multiple times”, he said.

The former Kansas politician is seen as an anti-Iran hawk with hard-line views about projecting US military might, and his socially conservative opinions might be out of place at the State Department.

In Washington, the president said it vindicated his past criticism of the nuclear deal. The deal lifted economic sanctions on Iran in return for curbing its nuclear programme.

The phone call took place at the initiative of the French administration, the Kremlin statement said. He has called for concerted worldwide action to punish Iran for its missile programs and other actions that he said destabilize the region.

President Donald Trump is set to decide by May 12 whether to pull out of the worldwide nuclear non-proliferation deal with Iran.

Netanyahu said the material proves the worldwide nuclear deal is a failure.

The Israeli leader spoke in English and showed pictures and videos purporting to be of historic secret Iranian nuclear facilities, as well as Iranian documents and plans to develop atomic weapons.

But Netanyahu’s presentation, delivered on live TV from Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv, did not appear to provide evidence that Iran has violated the 2015 deal, raising questions about whether it would sway global opinion ahead of Trump’s fateful decision.
