Avengers: Infinity War Smashes All Box Office Records
Additionally, the marketing sold Avengers: Infinity War as “the beginning of the end” of the Avengers franchise, which could arguably be misleading but still certainly did prepare audiences for a rather hard-hitting MCU superhero brawl. If you have not seen it already, please go and watch it.

It was always going to be a big production; but the sheer scale of it – not to mention the roll call of megastar actors on screen as multiple Marvel universes cross over – is endlessly impressive.
So half of universal life getting wiped out is somehow a step towards victory? Yep. Still, that’s lower than the last three Marvel movies – this year’s Black Panther (96 percent), 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok (92 percent), and Spider-Man: Homecoming (92 percent).
It would indeed be devastating if all these characters – many of them great and essential to the MCU – were actually dead.
The ending was shocking. I understand AIW had reasons to trim back to mostly the core Avengers, but does Marvel Studios really want Avengers 4 to deprive so many Phase Four characters of cinematic oxygen?
“Infinity War” has ignited a spark in the box office. Out of all the questions and answers, though, my favorite part has to be the speed and certainty with which everyone could answer the question of which Chris is the most “theatrical”.
Unfortunately, Carol Danvers doesn’t appear in Avengers: Infinity War. Moments later some of our favorite heroes start reducing to dust and every single person in my theatre was stunned. Therefore, they can’t die for good. It largely depends on how long the movie runs in the theater. Unusual that there’s one scenario in more than 14 million versions of the future in which the Avengers beat Thanos. Peter Parker’s terror at disappearing and his pleading to Tony Stark is undeniably touching. Odd also dies, but not before saying, “It was the only way”.
Doctor Strange and Wong in a still from Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos, the Mad Titan, seeks the all-powerful infinity stones that bestow their wielders with control over the elements. It looked damaged. What does that mean?
Who was one of the few Avengers we didn’t see wade into the battle? Are Infinity Stones gone too? Perhaps the same vision where the Avengers are victorious requires Thanos to have all of the Infinity Stones.
“Infinity War” is the pinnacle of a decade’s worth of characters and storylines for Disney’s Marvel. Can she undo all the deaths at the end? Will Captain Marvel be that way? Gamora’s arc deserved its own “Guardians” movie, but instead it was shoehorned in and rushed through so we could get to the grand finale. It is convenient and makes sense.

“I think films like this show that we, as studios, just need to keep building and telling the right stories”, Greg Mason, vice-president of marketing for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada, told CBC News.
