An officer in the CEO’s officer said a report has been sent to the election commission about the video and directions have been issued to the news channels not to air the video clip.

The campaign which began in March, was hit by many controversies-the most serious one being the Rajarajeshwarinagar voter ID scam with the Election Commission on Friday ordering postponement of polling to the seat to May 28 saying the current electoral process in the constituency has been “vitiated” by parties and candidates who had tried to influence voters. Over 2,600 candidates are in the fray- more than 2400 men and and over 200 women. Tight security is in place to ensure smooth and peaceful polling across all the assembly constituencies spread across 30 districts. “82,157 people have been deployed for poll duty that include DSPs, home guards and civil defence, and forest guards and watchers”, Karnataka DGP Neelamani N Raju said.
