Google Drive to quietly morph into Google One over next few months
With Google One, Google will introduce new features, as well as new pricing options.

In addition to that, you will also get access to Google Experts customer support for any of the paid tiers. Each family member will get their own storage silo within your pool of paid Google One storage. Google will also offer some extra services like free credits on Google Play or deals on select hotels found on Google search.
Google One is a new plan that will replace all online Drive storage plans.
It is important to mention that G suite users will not be affected by this update, they will continue to enjoy previous services.
As part of the new moniker, Google has unveiled new expanded storage plans, access to live support and more storage sharing plans. Rivals including Amazon, Dropbox and Microsoft still have 1TB monthly plans in place, some people would point out. Rather, it will no longer be the label Google puts on the gigabytes or terabytes of storage you share across its platforms.
Google’s entry level paid-for cloud storage plan will cost $1.99 per month for 100GB, just like now. After all, the tech giant noticed that people with paid storage plans are often heavy users of Google products.
Furthermore, Google One also offers access to experts for help with the Google consumer products and services. According to TechCrunch, there are two new storage plans: 200GB for $2.99 a month and 2TB for $9.99 a month.
Precise details of Google One pricing in the United Kingdom are yet to be announced, but as they USA price has been halved, we can probably expect a similar discount.

As before, cloud storage can be used across Google Drive, Google Photos and Gmail – presumably to make this clear the company came up with the name “One” i.e. one storage plan for all Google services, but it’s anything but. The service is provided along with every Google One plan, and according to TechCrunch, in the USA, these experts will be available 24/7 over chat, email, and phone.
