Roseanne Barr Returns to Twitter: ‘Don’t Feel Sorry for Me’
Tom Arnold, actor and ex-husband of Roseanne Barr, speaks to CNN’s Anderson Cooper about her racist tweet that led to her sitcom’s cancellation on ABC.

In one of her other deleted tweets, Barr said “I’m sorry 4 my tweet, AND I will also defend myself as well as talk to my followers.so, go away if u don’t like it”. They do it because we have a white trash racist president.
Barr tweeted more details on the fallout Thursday, saying she “begged” her boss, Ben Sherwood, president of the Disney-ABC Television Group, to let her redeem herself.
ABC canceled “Roseanne” after Barr, a Trump supporter and the show’s main star, made a racist reference to former Obama administration adviser Valerie Jarrett on Twitter.
The whole debacle arose on Monday when Barr proclaimed that, if the Muslim Brotherhood and the “Planet of the Apes” “had a baby”, it would be Jarrett.
She continued: “He said: what were you thinking when you did this?”
But in seriousness, Barr has apologized many times online for the controversy that imploded her show and claims she’s trying to turn over a new leaf.
“Roseanne” has been one of the highest-rated shows throughout its season, but that did not stop ABC from taking action against its star. “No one is defending her comments – they’re inappropriate – but that’s the point he was making”.
“The president is the president of all people, and damn it, I wish he would start acting like it”, she added.
Roseanne Barr hasn’t finished pleading her case after a controversial week.
It was something rare in today’s USA entertainment: a depiction of an extended working class family, including supporters of President Trump. “I hope the good work done is not totally eclipsed by those abhorrent and offensive comments, and that Roseanne seeks the help she so clearly needs”.
On Barr having a history of this kind of attitude: “This monkey thing is something she’s tweeted before about black people”.

Some have defended Barr by suggesting that Bill Maher should be fired for comparing Donald Trump to an orangutan, Fox News reported. I really liked Roseanne’s show and thought they were trying to be unifying with the humor. He said the original tweet “makes alot (sic) more sense then most things”.
