After one-for-the-ages game, Durant showered with Twitter love

As the Golden State Warriors chase their third National Basketball Association championship in four years, the historic ramifications begin to take shape.

While it was a quiet night from Curry and Klay Thompson, who finished with 10 points, the Cavaliers simply had no answer to Durant.

“This game was like deja vu of game three a year ago for him just all the way around”, said Golden State’s Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors can beat the Cavs playing their C game and only need one of their four stars to play well. He has been named regular season MVP twice and one of those times, in 2016, he became the league’s first unanimous MVP victor in history.

Up Next – The Wine & Gold will try to extend their season on Friday night when they play Game 4 at The Q. If they’re able to do so, it’s back to Oakland for Game 5 the following Monday (6/11) with Game 6 back in The Land on Thursday night (6/14).

Hood’s great play extended into the fourth quarter as both teams traded blows, and he would finish with 15 points and six rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.

Oddly enough, for Cleveland’s supporting cast – who have been wildly sub-par and inconsistent through two Finals games – playing at home doesn’t always translate to success. The Cavaliers had that tonight, with Kevin Love working well in the post and finishing with 20 points. Smith had 10 points.

“It’s nearly like playing the Patriots”, James added. In 41 road games, he averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game. He just missed a triple-double in Game 2 (29 points, nine rebounds, 13 assists).

James led the Cavaliers with 33 points.

That fact was noted by Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, who tweeted out a box score with the free throw numbers for each team circled at halftime.

That happened for Kevin Durant on Wednesday night, as he returned to Cleveland for another Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Cleveland feeds off the thunder of their crowd, where they had won eight straight in the playoffs after dropping Game 1 of their first-round series with the Indiana Pacers, and the speakers in this three-tier arena downtown boomed.

And he goes on to state some of the players with the defending champions have their heart set on sweeping James.

In the fourth, seemingly neither team could wrestle control of the game away the other side.

Cleveland raced into a 16-4 lead in the first half, the highlight being James throwing a pass to himself off the backboard and finishing with a dunk.

In Game 2, the Cavs constantly allowed Love to guard Curry even when it was clear that even on his best day, the big man has little to no chance of stopping the Warriors guard from leaving him flat-footed. He practiced each of the past two days to move closer to a return. I’ve seen some insane stuff happen in my years of playing basketball, not just in the NBA but just overall. That one might have been the most painful of all – Game 3 of the East semis this year, when the Raptors fought back to tie the game late and then watched as LeBron hit a running, one-legged floater off the glass to basically rip the Raptors’ hearts out and probably cost their coach his job.
