Warriors rout Cavaliers to complete NBA Finals sweep
Should Cleveland lose Game 4 of this series Friday night and get swept by Golden State, James would be the fifth player to actually be on the floor for a pair of 4-0 defeats in the NBA Finals.

After the Cleveland Cavaliers lost the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors on June 8, LeBron James, 33, revealed that he played the last three games with a right hand injury.
Last season, the newness of Durant’s arrival propelled the Warriors forward. He scored 23 points in what turned out to be the last game of the finals last night.
Durant’s series was highlighted by his playoff career-high 43 points in game three.
If the Cavaliers can keep the series going with a win Friday, the series will return to Oracle on Monday for a 6 p.m. start in Game 5. Whatever happens next, LeBron James has left us better than we were before he was here.
Since 2009, the award has been named for Celtics legend Bill Russell, the 11-time champion who surely would have won the award several times if it had existed in his playing days.

Curry said individual accolades are “kind of a validation” but that the Warriors’ title matters more.
That depth proved to be too much for a Cleveland team that lacked options after LeBron James. I wondered if we could hit a switch in the postseason.
Kevin Durant’s decision to join the Warriors received a lot of scrutiny, but his time in Golden State has been an outright success. The “self-inflicted” injury was reportedly the result of the basketball star punching a whiteboard in the locker room after his team’s Game 1 overtime loss, according to ESPN. “It’s just the talent we have and the experience we’ve gained”. That will be a deciding factor in how long I want to play’.
You really get the feeling that the Cavaliers missed out on a chance to make this competitive series after they blew Game 1 so I’m not surprised that they’re now 48 minutes from a series sweep.
With 4:03 left in the game and Golden State leading 102-77, James bumped fists with Durant, Green and Iguodala to congratulate them on their championship and take what may be his curtain call with Cleveland.
“When you get on the podium and you realize all the hard work that you put into it and all that you’ve been through led to that moment, it never gets boring”, Curry said.
Regardless of whether you’re in attendance, or watching from home, this should be a fun event as it always is when teams get to celebrate a title with their city.
James, widely regarded as the greatest player of his generation, is expected to leave for a second time, having returned to the franchise in 2014 after departing for Miami four years earlier.

“I came back because I felt like I had some unfinished business”, LeBron said.
