President Donald Trump to visit Windsor on United Kingdom tour

ELLESBOROUGH, England-Tensions were running high ahead of planned talks between President Donald Trump and U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May, after the USA leader in an interview bashed the prime minister’s approach to Brexit and threatened that her plan would “kill” the chances of a trade deal.

“Well I am not pitting one against the other”, Trump said. “But when they make you feel unwelcome, why would I stay there?”

“So I think allowing millions and millions of people to come into Europe is very, very sad”, he said.

Bringing chaos with him as he moves across Europe, President Donald Trump’s pomp-filled welcome to Britain was overshadowed Friday by an explosive interview in which he blasted Prime Minister Theresa May, blamed London’s mayor for terror attacks against the city and argued that Europe was “losing its culture” because of immigration.

Trump, who is visiting Britain, said Prime Minister Theresa May’s newly-announced Brexit blueprint had probably killed hopes of a trade deal.

“[It] will definitely affect trade with the United States, unfortunately in a negative way”, he added, noting how the USA already has “enough difficulty with the European Union”. “She didn’t listen to me”.

While he added that he thought Johnson would one day be a good candidate to lead the country, he insisted that he wasn’t trying to put Johnson against May.

Mr Morgan, the forthright journalist and broadcaster, hit back and questioned why the London mayor had not been so vocal over the visit of controversial Turkish President Recep Erdogan. Two years ago, Khan first crossed Trump’s radar by criticizing his call for a ban on Muslim immigration to the US. “Look at what is going on in London”.

The President and First Lady Melania Trump landed at London Stansted Airport, northeast of the capital, where they boarded a helicopter to Winfield House.

It is not simply the protesters, who are expected to dog Trump throughout his visit, including his weekend in Scotland, but his fraught relationship with political leaders accustomed to harmonious exchanges with USA leaders, a tradition of unity that goes back at least to the vital World War II partnership of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill.

France’s foreign minister says Europe will stand up to U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to “destabilize” the European Union and derail global cooperation. Although Trump has said this practice will be stopped, thousands of children remain separated from their parents and face great difficulty locating their relatives.

It may not be an actual etiquette rule but the Queen is famous for her love of Corgis and it is widely acknowledged that anyone meeting with her should act as if they like dogs, even if they don’t, for the duration of the meeting.

On Saturday, Trump supporters will rally near the United States embassy in Nine Elms, south London, for an event titled “Welcoming Trump to Britain Rally – Make Britain Great Again”, at which a number of right-wing figures are scheduled to speak.

“He is destroying all the norms of what used to be a great democracy in America and so I’m really concerned about my country and I’m here now and so this is where I have the chance to protest him”.

United States ambassador Woody Johnson insisted the balloon was not a fair representation of British views.

Trump next heads to Windsor Castle for tea with the queen, as protesters stage a mass demonstration in London.

Trump is on a “working visit” rather than a full state occasion.

The president is being hosted by the United Kingdom government throughout his trip, which has been billed as an opportunity to boost trade links and strengthen co-operation on security, and will be welcomed to Scotland by Scottish Secretary David Mundell.
