It was the highest-scoring decider since England beat West Germany 4-2 after extra-time in 1966 and the highest in normal time since Brazil defeated Sweden 5-2 60 years ago.

Croatia and France are scheduled to play starting at 11 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 15.

CROATIA 2, ICELAND 1: Already qualified and facing an Iceland team that had to win, Croatia sends out a squad heavy with reserves and still earns its third victory with a 90th-minute goal from Ivan Perisic.

France have an abundance of technically gifted players, but Kylian Mbappe remains one of their greatest weapons. France are clear favourites to triumph in Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium and will be spurred on by the bitter disappointment of losing the Euro 2016 final to Portugal in Paris.

Mbappe was born months after France first won the World Cup in 1998. If you have even the most basic of satellite or cable TV packages, it most likely includes broadcast networks like Fox, CBS, and Telemundo.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will help present the trophy to the winning captain after the World Cup final.

“Everyone’s kind of counted Croatia out for most of the tournament”. Bet on underdog Croatia and win big.

Antoine Griezmann showed vast calm under pressure to bury his first-half penalty, while also setting up France’s opening goal as the No7 proved to be a constant threat to Croatia’s backline.

“We prepared to get to the final and we want to play it”.

The red and white checkered shirts started piling forward, finding gaps and causing panic in the French defence, but Didier Deschamps’ still retained a threat on the break through the ferocious pace of Mbappe and defence-unlocking passes of Pogba. With his second attempt, the midfielder curled his shot beyond Subasic.

France then looked to have clinched the game as Mbappe drilled home a fourth from distance with the 19-year-old becoming just the second teenager in history to score in a World Cup final.

An own goal from Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic and a penalty from Antoine Griezmann, the first ever awarded by a video assistant referee (VAR) in a World Cup final, canceled out Ivan Perisic’s strike for Croatia to give France a 2-1 halftime lead.

“I think that our team is quite calm”. Very happy. It was a hard match. We got into the game and on counter attacks, we made the difference.
