Apple recalls certain iPhone 8s that abruptly freeze or turn off

Apple skipped the “S” generation for iPhone 7 last year and moved straight to iPhone 8 series and iPhone X. This year Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones with the 5.8-inch OLED model dubbed “iPhone XS”.

Earlier reports revealed that the 6.1-inch iPhone will come with some funky colours.

It is unknown what name will receive a 6.1-inch device, but there is speculation that it will either be the iPhone 8S or iPhone 9. The cheaper iPhone with 6.1-inch LCD display will be priced at 799 euros (around Rs 67,000). It could also miss out on features like 3D Touch. Face ID will be making an appearance on the iPhone 9, fortunately.

Apple noted that it does not expect significant growth in iPhone unit volume in fiscal 2019, meaning a price increase could be expected. If anything, the leaks, despite Apple’s best efforts, have only increased.
