New Amazon Echo Dot – UK price, release and everything new from Amazon

There is no built-in speaker, but the device contains a far-feild microphone array for Alexa commands. These devices include a revamped Echo Dot that is created to be louder than its predecessor, a streaming audio adapter, a Alexa-controlled subwoofer, a receiver and an amplifier as well as a revamped version of its Echo Plus speaker.

It could unveil eight new Echo devices, a device for the auto and even a microwave, according to a CNBC report. But if you can’t afford a brand new electric vehicle, the Echo Auto is your solution. Amazon has already worked with manufacturers to add Alexa into cars. Amazon announced that all Echo devices will be compatible with the music service later this year. It will have a slightly modified exterior, featuring an updated fabric design.

As you can see, the new Dot is available in three colours known as charcoal, heather grey and sandstone.

Amazon also revealed significant upgrades to existing products. The new model features a new speaker which claims to be sound louder and richer.

Like the original Amazon Echo, the Echo Auto will be available on an invite-only basis starting in the United States and sold for a discount price – just $24.99 (roughly £19, AU$34).

Pre-order the microwave now; it’s set to launch on November 14.

Alongside the new Echo Dot and Echo Sub, Amazon has also launched a new gen Echo Plus in India for Rs 14,999. It will cost $35 and will ship next month.

The Echo Sub is the first ever wireless Echo subwoofer from the company which is offering 100W deep bass sound through a 6-inch woofer. Once the initial setup is complete, Amazon says drivers will simply need to start their vehicle and the Echo Auto will be ready to respond “within just a few seconds”. For example, if you tell Alexa “Goodnight”, it will look at all of your connected smart home devices, and ask if you want it to lock your door, or turn off your lights.

Going on sale next month, it will cost £219.99. Amazon claims that the new Echo Show delivers a much better sound quality compared to the previous generation.

It’s slightly larger and bulkier than the previous version but it stays at exactly the same price as its predecessor: £49.99. Alexa Routine is a brand new feature that allows you to customize your daily routine. The company is hoping the $230 video speaker becomes a hub for voice shopping and video calls.

Technology around the smart home market is at a “tipping point” as thousands of new appliances become available, Mr Limp added. To activate this all you need to say is “Alexa, I’m leaving”, and Alexa will let you know if your Echo devices detect an unusual sound. Echo Link connects to your home audio system and plays music on it through streaming services. The Link starts at $200 and will be available later this year. There’s no speaker here, so the Echo Input is just 12.5mm tall.

The Input will be bundled with some third-party speakers such as Bose, Amazon said.

If you’re into heavy bass the Echo Sub comes with a subwoofer to enhance low-ends in music playback on Echo devices
