The FBI is expected to send Congress a report on its revived sexual harassment investigation of Brett Kavanaugh as soon as Wednesday afternoon, Republican senators said of the pivotal document that could make or break his Supreme Court nomination. Soon after arriving, they spotted another man in the bar who looked like UB40’s lead singer, Ali Campbell. The New York Times obtained a police report of the incident, which took place at a local Yale bar in 1985.

He said that the altercation happened after a UB40 concert on September 25, when he and a group of people went to Demery’s and were drinking pints. He was not arrested. The Washington Post caught up with Ludington last night to get more of the story on the bar fight and Kavanaugh’s role in it, a role that apparently didn’t even interest police at the time enough to detain the future jurist.
Sanders said on Twitter, pointing to a tweet from New York Times reporter Emily Bazelon in July disassociating herself from praise of Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh was not arrested, but the police report stated that a 21-year-old man accused Kavanaugh of throwing ice on him “for some unknown reason”.
“The next thing you know, Brett throws his beer at the guy”, Ludington said.
According to a New York Times report, Brett Kavanaugh, coming from a UB40 concert, got into an altercation after mistaking a man for the lead singer of the band.
They said the agency had not responded to the offer to interview Prof Ford, or “a series of emails and letters in which we identified witnesses and evidence that would likely assist the FBI”.
Kavanaugh has denied the charge, which first appeared in a New Yorker article last month.
Kavanaugh’s conduct as a high school and college student has come under scrutiny after three women accused him of sexually assaulting them in his youth – potentially derailing his confirmation as one of America’s top judges.
The audience laughed as Trump ran through a list of what he described as holes in Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
“The guy swung at Brett”, Ludington continued. The face-off is going up to the steps of the USA supreme court on Friday when liberals have called for a rally to #BelieveSurvivors and #StopKavanaugh even as the Federal Bureau of Investigation is set to conclude its probe.
“I really believe Kavanaugh is not a gang rapist, a sexual predator, or a stumbling bumbling drunk”, he said, adding, “I believe it because I’ve known him for 20 years”. Inevitable, even. As soon as the news broke that Judge Brett Kavanaugh allegedly instigated a bar fight after a UB40 concert in New Haven, Connecticut, while he was at Yale, the “Red, Red, Wine” jokes flowed.

Ms Swetnick says she went to house parties attended by Mr Kavanaugh in the early 1980s, where she said he and his friends had tried to “spike” girls’ drinks.
