What’s to come from Google on the 9th of October

However, it looks like Google had one trick up their sleeve as we move closer to the event.

Google is holding a number of events across the globe simultaneously with its main keynote taking place in NY. It is rumoured to be an update to Pixel Chromebook. We also saw the tablet in all its glory thanks to accessory maker Brydge, which appears to be making an attachable keyboard accessory for the Pixel Slate.

So, if you’re a fan of the Pixel brand here’s all you need to know about today’s launch event.

The new Pixel-branded phones will anchor a product event Tuesday in NY.

The Pixel 3 is expected to go from a traditional, squared-off 16:9 screen to a more modern 18:9 screen with thinner bezels and rounded corners. Moreover, there seems to be few other surprises at the event here. All these devices and more will be announced on October 9 when Google will host its annual hardware event in NY.

Embargos. They can either be respected or obliterated, and I’m guessing Unwire believes in the latter, as they just published a full review of the as-yet-unannounced Google Pixel 3 XL.

The firm released the first pair of Pixel Buds to go along with the Pixel 2 a year ago, and now it’s widely believed that it will release a refreshed pair to go with the new lineup of Pixel phones. However, we do urge caution because the same leak – apparently of marketing material for each handset – also claims the screen resolution of the Pixel 3 XL is 1080p. There’s was also a leak that had surfaced which is apparently the un-boxing video of XL.

The phone was obtained by Engadet’s Richard Lai, who made a detail hands-on video showing it off.

Google is also expected to release a wireless charging stand for the new phones. The Verge speculates that the uploaded image comes from an employee of Walmart, as the previous Google Smart TV kit was sold exclusively through the retailer. Last week, a report suggested that the third-generation Chromecast is already available in the USA at BestBuy, consumer electronics retailer stores, even before it has been announced.
