Couple’s ‘Halloween’ Proposal, ‘Back To The Future’ Engagement Photo Are wonderful
The proposal, which was caught on tape by several of their friends, took inspiration from the first scene of the original 1978 Halloween film, which marked the debut of Michael Myers, the mask-wearing maniac who terrorizes a suburban California town.

Turning a corner, laughing and crying, she soon realized the kneeling figure was not Michael Myers but Wells and he had a question to ask her. So, when Wells decided to propose to her, he chose to do it in a pretty special way that nodded to her favorite horror film, John Carpenter’s Halloween.
“Canipe is one half of a duo for the horror podcast Boys And Ghouls and, according to Wells, Halloween is, “…her favorite movie of all time”. That, by the way, is not me doubting the veracity of this video – that’s me saying that fandom people are fantastic, and that I love the fact that they wear their costumes out just for fun sometimes.
Wells takes off the mask and gets on one knee as Canipe approaches him, basically hyperventilating. And as expected, Katherine was both scared and elated by the proposal – so much so that, after saying yes, she allowed Alec to choose the theme of their engagement photo. Naysayers may accuse the video of being staged, but we still think it’s one heck of a proposal.
Oh, and for a bonus, you can see their engagement announcement photo below, which is themed after Back To The Future.

Congrats to the happy couple!
