There will never come a day that people are bored of Harry Potter – FACT – and eight years after the last book hit shelves, fan theories are still circulating the ‘net.
Voldemort, for instance, pretty much embodies the first brother who tries to defeat Death using the Elder Wand.
The theory, which has been going around recently on Reddit and Tumblr, says Dumbledore might actually be Death, or at least represents Death, as we hear about it in the “The Tale of the Three Brothers”.
In the story, Death gives each of the brothers a gift after they manage to cheat death, with each of the three tying into characters from the series. And it finally made its way to the character’s creator, author J.K. Rowling.

Fans have suggested that Voldemort, Snape and Harry represent the three brothers in the story, while Dumbledore represents Death. This led one fan to conclude that Dumbledore is Death. Once Harry died, he was transported to a mystical version of King’s Cross Station where none other than his favorite magical maestro Professor Dumbledore awaited him. Now, JK Rowling has thrown her weight behind a particular theory, telling her eager Twitter following that it’s “beautiful” and “fits”. Hogwarts will always be home to many, and we’ll keep coming back as long as it will take us. You just might pique Rowling’s curiosity and prompt her to reveal more details about your favorite saga!
