Evan Rachel Wood: ‘I Thought I Was In Love With Marilyn Manson’
And he was just what I needed, because I felt really free with him.

“I thought I was in love”, Ms. Wood explains.
“People were cruel. You build immunity to that sort of thing, but I wasn’t used to negative feedback, so it got to me”.
Rachel Evan Wood is featured in the latest issue of Net-A-Porter.com’s The Edit, with a candid interview in which she talks about her career and the men in her life.
The break-up with Manson opened up new possibilities for Evan and she found the freedom to explore her own bisexuality, which was a part of herself that she had kept carefully in check, previously.
Wood and Manson split in November 2008, but they got back together in January 2010 and got engaged. The couple welcomed their first child together, a baby boy whose name has never been revealed, in July 2013.
While her marriage to Jamie broke down, the actress happily co-parents with the British star, who she still calls ‘the love of my life’. “He was the love of my life”. However, the bi-sexual star did open about the days when she didn’t fully acknowledged her sexuality.
A few weeks shy of her 28th birthday, the actress said she’s looking forward to moving past her twenties.
She has admitted though that her life has slowed down considerably since giving birth to her son with ex husband Jamie, swapping nights out for nights in with her toddler. “I have these moments where I just want to dance!” You’re going to die one day. “People go through phases”.
That sounds a little insane to me to characterize it that way, but then again I certainly felt my mind and body go to places they’d never been before while I was in labor.

Still, it seems she fondly recalls her candlelit home birth. But that’s when I’m doing laundry, cleaning the house, answering emails.
