GOP Gov. Haley asks for review of 3 abortion clinics

Ms. O’Donnell, who has been featured in earlier videos, said she was asked to harvest an intact brain from the late-term male fetus whose heart was still beating after the abortion. Planned Parenthood says it doesn’t make money from those transfers and any charges are due to transportation and reimbursements.

Pro-life groups are using the videos to step up their calls for investigations and defunding of Planned Parenthood. But lately, it has come under scanner after the videos surfaced showing its officials entering into negotiations for aborted foetal tissue. Hell, the Texas legislature held hearings about it even though Planned Parenthood Texas doesn’t donate fetal tissue. In a separate video, Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services for Planned Parenthood, was seen eating lunch with activists posing as buyers.

A 2006 rule promulgated by the agency defines the second trimester as beginning with the 14th week of pregnancy, allowing for an initial two weeks after a woman’s last menstrual cycle.

Authorities in Massachusetts, Georgia, Indiana and South Dakota found no evidence of wrongdoing, and Idaho’s Republican Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter rejected calls last week by GOP lawmakers to investigate Planned Parenthood facilities in his state.

Governor Terry Branstad says it’s “the responsibility” of Iowa’s Democratic attorney general to determine if Planned Parenthood of the Heartland is prosecuted for “any criminal wrong-doing”.

Most Americans believe abortions should be permitted when the pregnancy is the result of incest, rape or when the health of the mother is threatened.

Planned Parenthood has typically won in court when states have tried to take similar actions, according to the Times.
