In PPP-147, which falls under the NA-122 constituency, the victory of Mohsin Latif has been declared null and void by the tribunal. Sadiq while talking to media also announced that he will challenge the verdict.
By August 17, the counsels finalized their arguments and the tribunal reserved its verdict.
An election tribunal on Saturday declared the election National Assembly constituency NA-122 and Punjab Assembly constituency PP-147 null and void an ordered the Election Commission to hold re-polling in both Lahore constituencies within 60 days.
Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Ayaz Sadiq both had arrived at the tribunal office to hear the decision of the case.
In a statement he said that his party would use its legal right in the matter.
The counsel of Ayaz Sadiq, Asjad Saeed said that in 80 page judgment there is no mention of rigging. The court on November 20, 2014, recalled the stay order and allowed the tribunal to proceed with the case.
The tribunal appointed a retired sessions judge as local commission on December 8, 2014.
PML-N senior leader says they do not agree with the verdict; predicts PTI’s similar fate in NA-122 as that of Haripur.
As per directions of the commission, recounting and verification of votes were conducted by NADRA. The authority submitted a supplementary report on May 30.
Sadiq had defeated the country’s former cricket hero, and chief of his Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Imran Khan, by a margin of over 10,000 votes in the northeastern city of Lahore in the 2013 general election.

The Secretary Election Commission Babar Yaqoob also called the Inspector General of Punjab Police and said that NA-122 verdict should be announced in a free atmosphere and there should be no intervention.
