EASTON-As police continue to investigate the disappearance of an Easton couple, no major clues have been discovered. Their pickup truck was found August . 9 in a commuter lot off the Merritt Parkway in Westport with a shattered window.
A man there, upset that a reporter and photographer were on the property, said State Police investigators had been on the farm for a few hours.
In addition, police are now also looking for that pair’s 27-year-old son. The company’s website lists Jeffrey Navin as the president and Kyle Navin as its operations manager.
Jeanette Navin is a longtime employee of Weston Public Schools.
State Police combed through son Kyle Navin’s Bridgeport home, Trooper Kelly Grant told the Daily News Friday.
“Kyle stated that he has a broken back and is unable to work right now”, policesaid.
State court records show Jeffrey Navin was $2.2 million in debt as of December in connection with a mortgage on a Guilford home that has been in foreclosure since 2007. Other relatives have said they don’t believe the couple’s finances factored into their disappearance.
Detectives are searching a landfill in Putnam as part of the investigation into the disappearance of an Easton couple last seen in early August, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
The Hartford Courant has reported that the couple sold the Weston home, which they had owned since 1994, in May for $900,000. Neighbors of the Aldine Avenue address say they haven’t seen Kyle, his wife or their two dogs in about a week, and that the garbage truck normally parked in front has been gone as well.

State police declined to comment Friday when asked if the Navins’ son also was considered missing, saying they had no update on the investigation. All calls will remain confidential.
