Baltimore County Fire Department officials say a almost 29-year veteran of the department was killed this morning in a motorcycle crash in Prince George’s County.
Officials say that accident occurred at 4:40 a.m. on Laurel-Bowie Road.
The victims are 23-year-old Fahad Iqbal of Basswood Court in Laurel and 63-year-old Hubert Earl Harrison, Jr., of Quillpoint Drive in Bowie.
Both men were on motorcycles and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He was promoted to paramedic/firefighter in 2004 and reached the rank of lieutenant in 2009. For reason not yet known, the driver in the northbound lane crossed the center line and struck the southbound driver head on.
Harrison is a Lieutenant with the Baltimore County Fire Department and was on his way home from work. “We offer heartfelt condolences to his wife and loved ones, and will offer all the support we can in the hard days ahead”.
