Monsrud said Sydor failed a field sobriety test and displayed slow and slurred speech. “We are continuing to gather information and will have further comment at the appropriate time”.

Fridley police say Sydor had a. 247 blood alcohol content level after being pulled over at 5:15 p.m. near Minnesota Highway 65 and Medtronic Parkway, according to KSTP-TV.

Sydor was then booked in the Anoka County Jail for second-degree driving while intoxicated, which is a gross misdemeanor. He submitted to a blood alcohol test at the police station that came back at.30, nearly four times the legal limit of.08.

The Wild issued a statement Friday afternoon saying they were aware of the reports of Sydor’s arrest.

He remained in jail as of Friday morning. He played 18 seasons in the National Hockey League. He had trouble finding his driver’s license even though it was in his wallet.

Officers reported that, on several occasions throughout the interaction, Sydor told his son “I’m sorry”.

The boy told Officer Zak Chlebeck they got lost on their way to a 6:30 p.m. game in Plymouth, and that his mother was in Canada visiting family.
