21, republican presidential wannabe Ted Cruz, 44, was on hand to meet citizens and grill some burgers.

Page fired right back at the presidential hopeful by saying he is “discriminating against LGBT people“. According to ABC News, the story focuses on a police officer and her partner’s legal battle to get her pension benefits after being diagnosed with cancer.
Cruz seemed aware that Page aimed to start a discussion, which clearly turned him off, as he told her he’d gladly answer her question, but didn’t want to engage in a debate. They were discussing where the line needs to be drawn as far as discrimination against gays & lesbians was concerned and how to protect religious liberties. Cruz responded by arguing that it’s the religious people in this country who are being prosecuted-not the queer ones.
According to Page’s representatives, the actress is now in Iowa on a project for the news outlet Vice, which produces a documentary series for HBO.
“The gay florist has every right to say, I disagree with your faith and don’t want to participate”.
As evidenced in the video, Page and Cruz got into a lively debate about LGBT rights, religious freedom, and more.
Page’s movie credits include Juno and Inception.
When asked later by the media, Cruz conceded he did not know he was talking to a Hollywood actress.
“Christians in Russian Federation, Christians in Uganda, Christians in Jamaica, all persecuting gays to a really, really violent extent”, Page added. Cruz, who did not appear to recognize the actress, said there was no moral equivalency between instances in Jamaica with those in the Middle East, where Islamic terrorists have gone after Christians.
“And on the left you hear complete silence about Iran hanging homosexuals”, he said.
“That’s not true”, Page interrupted.
“Yeah, I appreciate it, yeah”, she said sarcastically, and walked away. Cruz said, using an acronym for the Islamic State.
‘I don’t know, I would love to talk to Obama about it, ‘ Page responded.
