Romeulu Lukaku urges John Stones to snub interest from Chelsea and Mancheser

Chelsea have made three bids for centre-back Stones – the last one of £30million – which have all been turned down.

This is on the backdrop of a report by the Sun that the England global is considering handing in an official request in an attempt to force a big-money move to Chelsea.

Martínez’s frustration is visible, but maybe he shouldn’t worry about Stones handling a transfer request as the Liverpool Echo reported after his press conference that the player won’t resort to this recourse.

But the Post understands that the England global will not be doing so and will take his place as usual in the heart of the Blues’ defence for Sunday’s game with Manchester City.

We often think of Roberto Martinez as one of the most promising managers in the Premier League. He’s been here two years now but this is the year when he needs to confirm he is the top player he can be. Lukaku was loaned out to WBA in 2012 and Everton in 2013 before being sold to the Toffees for a club-record £28 million in 2014.

“I just can’t get my head around why the transfer window works like it does”, said Jagielka.

The 61-year-old said: “It matters to have three more points in the table and it is very important to continue in the same way we played the first two games, because we must be a consistent team during the whole season“.

To make it lucky 13, Martinez requires a repeat of the excellent team performance in the 3-0 win at Southampton. “That is so wrong”.

Everton are also interested in signing Ukraine worldwide forward Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kiev in a £14.25m deal. It’s a test of his character and if he plays well in the next few games it can only put him in a better light.
