Most Republicans and a handful of Democrats are against the accord. Reid’s support of the deal today puts that further in doubt. While enough senators remain undecided to reach 60 votes against – only 23 of 44 have committed to backing the Iran deal so far – the steady trickle of support is dwindling that pool by the day. With some folks there is no learning curve.

The Senate’s No. 4 Democrat, Patty Murray (Wash.), has yet to announce her decision on the deal.

Ask your Congress person: Will Your Name Be on Iran’s Bomb? These nations have already signaled this to Democrats. He is one of two Democrats who have pledged not to support the deal.

Since the nuclear agreement was finalized in early July, there has been a steady stream of false claims meant to undermine support for it. One week, for example, there was speculation that after 10 years, Iran could restart its weapons program.

Section 1245 of the National Defense Authorization Act required the president to freeze assets of Iranian banks, including the Central Bank of Iran, and aimed to reduce Iranian oil revenue by imposing sanctions on foreign banks that carry out “significant financial transactions” with the central bank.
