The “Shake It Off” singer kicked off the first of her five sold-out shows at Los Angeles’ Staples Center Friday night, and during the show received a surprise from special guest Kobe Bryant.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, will no doubt be a first-ballot hall of famer when that time comes. She got a banner in the rafters of the Staples Center. A few months later, he clarified his remarks in an interview with ESPN’s Jemele Hill by way of an unbelievable pullquote: “I meant that friends can come and go, but banners hang forever”.
Bryant then pointed as the banner unfolded and Swift hugged him after to express her gratitude.
The son of professional basketball player Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, Kobe spent part of his childhood in Italy and is still fluent in Italian today.
The 1989 World Tour is the fourth concert tour of Swift which reflect her songs and work from her album entitled “1989”, released last October 2014.
“This is my 12th show at Staples Center, I love you”, Swift told the crowd.

Also at the show were a pair of more unlikely Taylor fans: actors Jamie Foxx and Mark Wahlberg. Her stint at Staples Center ends 26 August. “I know how many things you could be doing on a Friday night in Los Angeles, California”. Meanwhile, the Grammy award victor was later joined by One Republic’s Ryan Tedder and performed his band’s greatest hit “Counting Stars”.
