The former View co-host announced on Twitter late Tuesday afternoon that her 17-year-old daughter Chelsea O’Donnell has been found alive after disappearing in New York. “Her daughter Chelsea O’Donnell has been located by the police and is safe in their custody”, her representative added to People.com.

Chelsea was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, gray Converse sneakers, a black hooded sweatshirt and a black backpack.

Police in Nyack have been looking for Chelsea since Sunday in the Rockland County area.

“Thank you for all of your love, sharing and help”, Carpenter posted on her Facebook.

After a frantic search publicized by social media, the missing 17-year-old daughter of TV personality Rosie O’Donnell was found safe.

At 1:23 a.m. Rosie tweeted (see below for Rosie’s tweets pleading the public to help her find Chelsea) “dude was asking for u today … dude #urFAMILY #call”.

“Chelsea and her dog have been found. They are both doing well and in good health”. In the interim, Chelsea made contact with third parties, so police “didn’t believe that there was any immediate danger”, Wilson said. The young girl was apparently missing since August 11 and she was supposed to be with her 6-month-old therapy dog Bear.

Barnegat Township Police Lieutenant Keith Germain tells “Extra” that Chelsea was found with another individual in a single family home on the New Jersey shore.

“She is in need of medical attention”, the statement continued, before supplying the phone number that people needed to ring if they have any information to her whereabouts. Her mother became more anxious for she has stopped taking medication since her disappearance. She rejoined the daytime talk show “The View” past year, but left again before six months were up, saying the routine was proving too stressful for her heart condition.
