“Better, it’s getting better”.

Villa scored his 15th of the season on a penalty in the 80th minute for New York (7-12-7), which has one win in its past five games. It is simply that some groups – just like the Galaxy, which has 17 gamers incomes $100,000 or extra – use the principles higher than others.

A minute later however, it was all too easy for LA as Robbie Keane streaked down the left touchline unimpeded before squaring to Keane inside the box. The ensuing corner kick was nearly converted, but Robbie Keane’s shot struck the post and went out.

Keane’s goal-bound strike was deflected out by Jason Hernandez, before Lletget’s lob forced a smart save from Josh Saunders.

Even at his youthful best, the Chelsea legend wouldn’t have bridged the gulf that separated the two teams on the field on Sunday.

In the 36 minute, the Los Angeles Galaxy drew first blood.

In a match that was hyped as one of the biggest billings in MLS history, the LA Galaxy dismantled a subpar NYCFC defense en route to a 5-1 victory before a loud raucous StubHub Center Sunday afternoon.

“It was a challenge that I took on knowing what it was”, said Lampard, who spent last season on loan at Manchester City.

Gerrard will also have to contend with two World Cup winners in Andrea Pirlo and David Villa. With his incredible movement and keen eye for goal, we can see him causing New York City’s defence huge problems.

Lletget had the ball in the net for his side soon after, as he pounced on a rebound following Dos Santos’ header, but the goal was correctly deemed offside.

Keane made it 2-0 when he scored in the 54th.

This is undoubtedly great news for the New York faithful who have waited so long to see the Englishman in full flow. LA outshot NYCFC 22-6 after the 18th minute.

Led by legendary striker David Villa, NYCFC’s offense has been serviceable.

OK, so he might have gotten a little carried away when he added the Galaxy could “for sure” compete in the Premier League.

Former Tottenham and Barcelona forward Giovani dos Santos struck midway through the second half, breaking through to lift the ball over a helpless Saunders.

Gerrard on the other hand, signed for LA Galaxy after deciding to not renew his contract at his boyhood club Liverpool FC.

Los Angles is now in first place, and are in prime position to win the Supporters’ Shield.

The Galaxy have been near unstoppable at home in the last five games, outscoring opponents 22-4.
