Kanye West Replaces Frank Ocean At FYF Fest This Weekend

Kanye West will now headline this weekend’s FYF Fest in California, after singer-songwriter Frank Ocean cancelled two days before he was due to perform.

Fans have become increasingly vocal in their frustration with Ocean recently, after a July album release date given by the singer himself came and went without any new music or comment. However, things are certainly looking up for attendees after it was announced that Kanye West will be Ocean’s replacement in the same slot. Thinkin Bout You show star Sea was ’cause of headline the L.A. festival, still cancelled at the last minute. According to the event website, Ocean cancelled the gig “on his own terms”.

Ocean’s publicist released a statement early Friday morning regarding the cancellation of the Los Angeles music festival.

Kanye West will be performing on the Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Sunday will see the likes of Morrissey, Flume, Solange, FKA Twigs, D’Angelo and the Vanguard, Belle and Sebastian, Death Grips, Tobias Jesso Jr. and more to take the stage.

The 38-year-old “All Day” rapper will replace the Odd Future member to perform a 75-minute set at the festival in Los Angeles on August 22 and 23, reported Aceshowbiz.
