Over the past few weeks on RAW, we’ve heard endless references to the “divas revolution” in WWE. However, any major non-storyline information-serious injury, WWE Wellness Policy violations, suspensions, legitimate hirings, firings, contract information and “sabbaticals”-may be taken into consideration, but generally only if WWE confirms or addresses it publicly”. Bayley and Sasha Banks had arguably the most exciting women’s match in WWE history.

It’s the biggest show NXT has ever done, and the card reflects the magnitude of the show.
It’s just a different story with the women in NXT. There’s no doubt about that. The fact they allowed him to keep the Gorilla Press into the standing moonsault as a finisher is a good sign they aren’t going to try to make him a bland power wrestler. They’ll be given more time as it’s an NXT show and the inclusion of the ladder should make this pretty spectacular. That said, they can still do a “rubber match” since Taker has the win here; and Heyman and Lesnar can simply show the video tape over and over and over again, showing Brock made the dead man tap. Bayley has taken out two of her old rivals, Charlotte and Becky Lynch, on the road to Takeover: Brooklyn, and I think she climbs to the top of the mountain this weekend.
Overall, this should be a really fun show with some spectacular matches. Maybe Cesaro can go after one of Seth’s titles… But main eventing their biggest TakeOver special in front of their biggest crowd in attendance and all those watching on the WWE Network would have been finally putting their money where their mouth is. In fact, those women haven’t even gotten to really show their stuff yet.
This would not have been main eventing the women just for the hell of it either.
Too bad this match remains quite forgettable.
The news website has described how Bayley became a new champion versus Sasha Banks for the NXT Women’s Title. It will be the match of the night, but I don’t see this becoming a five-star classic. The crowd was invested in this match like no other on the card. She’s arrogant, but can back it up, and she was the NXT Champion. They also approached Banks and the four ended up hugging one another.
And they didn’t do it. “Co-main eventing” isn’t something revolutionary.
Baron Corbin has not worked a truly lengthy match thus far in his career in NXT, but he did have a longer affair with Bull Dempsey several months ago.
What we learned: Crews is likely destined for stardom, as he uses a stunning hybrid of strength and agility that most wrestling fans haven’t seen before.
Triple H has admitted all at WWE are “blown away” by the success of the brand. The concern is that NXT may be losing their two stars and start to rebuild for the future, but I still believe that NXT will get bigger due to their popularity. Regardless, I think they get it done this time.
