Critics Accuse Jose Mourinho accused of goading Chelsea Owner with John Terry

When Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero raced clear of the Chelsea back-line moments after kick-off to force an excellent save from the Blues’ goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, Mourinho realised that his defensive strategy was already crumbling.

In the opening weeks of this season’s EPL, the self-styled “Special One” has had to also deal issues; first for demoting first-team doctor Eva Carneiro after she had attended to Eden Hazard in the dying minutes of the draw against Garry Monk’s side last Saturday, and for the dismal performance his team put up at the Etihad stadium on Sunday.

Chelsea’s Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho, may be close to the end of his second spell as manager in charge of the English club. “Our team played better and 3-0 is the minimum we deserved”.

They believe their three bids demonstrate their commitment to signing the defender, and now its up to him to show his commitment.

Prior to this campaign, Mourinho won at least one game out of the first two, a record he maintained up until 2013, when he was in charge of Real Madrid.

Mourinho attempted to defuse the situation by explaining his choice was a tactical change as he felt the young Frenchman’s pace was key to his side’s hopes of getting back into the game against one of their main rivals for the Premier League title.

“I don’t know if you asked questions to Rafa Benitez, Andre Villas-Boas, Roberto Di Matteo, to the ones that never played him“, Mourinho said.

Mourinho claimed in an interview before the game against City that they have sold a lot of players for a massive sum, which has given them the moral right to spend big on transfers.
