Crews continue search for missing 10-year-old boy in Uintas
A missing 10-year-old boy was found Monday, nearly 30 hours after he wandered off into the rugged terrain of Utah’s High Uintas Wilderness. They are also calling for the boy over a speaker system.

Malachi Bradley was hugging his family – who asked not to be otherwise identified – after they were reunited Monday afternoon, NBC station KSL of Salt Lake City reported.
Malachi had hiked to Paul Lake with his brother, his sister, his father and his father’s friend when he walked away about 10:30 a.m., Norton said.
The Facebook page invited others to help in the search, but the invitation was taken down at the request of sheriff’s deputies, who said having to coordinate volunteers would divert resources from finding Malachi. The search started Sunday and resumed Monday morning after an overnight suspension. He has a backpack and a coat with him. But they’re concerned a sudden rain or dip in temperatures could raise the danger of hypothermia in the high-elevation area about 200 miles east of Salt Lake City, near the Wyoming border.
Crews said Bradley got lost and tried to find his way back but couldn’t so he toughed out the night in his jacket.
“We’re hoping he had something in the pack that could help him through the night”, Norton said.

Instead, Uintah County Sheriff’s Corporal Brian Fletcher confirmed, the search effort is being limited to trained search and rescue teams on ATVs from Uintah and neighboring Wasatch counties, the Ute Indian Tribe, and a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter.
