Sheerer was busted Friday, four days after the 17-year-old girl was discovered at his Barnegat Township home, and hours after O’Donnell gave authorities permission to examine her daughter’s cell phone.
While searching Sheerer’s house, police seized his computer and other digital equipment as part of their investigation.
Sheerer is now being held at Ocean County Jail on $40,000 cash bail, according to the prosecutor’s office.

A week ago Sunday, Rosie reported to authorities in Rockland County, N.Y., where she lives with her five children, that daughter Chelsea O’Donnell, 17, was missing, last seen on August. 11 with her therapy puppy, Bear.

Tarver noted that Sheerer has complied with the terms of his probation, and said his client is a Barnegat High School graduate who is now employed by a moving company.
