Lakers could be bringing back World Peace
With the offseason winding down and training camp vastly approaching, the Los Angeles Lakers are considering shoring up their small forward position.

No deal has been agreed upon, but there have been talks between the Lakers and World Peace’s representatives, league sources told Yahoo Sports. It has been reported that Kobe Bryant met the idea “with enthusiasm”, basically giving it a stamp of approval as far as the front office is concerned. I’d be all in for signing Metta World Peace and Sasha Vujacic at maximum contracts.
Among those young players is Julius Randle, the forward who was a lottery pick previous year but missed nearly his entire rookie season with a broken leg. World Peace worked out with Randle over the summer and reportedly was impressed with the Kentucky product.
With the final season of Kobe Bryant, World Peace might be the player that the Lakers are lookign for to pair with him. He would also likely be a very low-priced addition, since there is no competition to sign him from other National Basketball Association franchises.
World Peace spent four seasons with the Lakers from 2009-2013 and was an instrumental piece in the team’s 2010 title run.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Lakers are considering adding World Peace to their roster.

While World Peace has literally gone around the globe to play ball, his wild ways haven’t changed as he was involved in this scuffle at the end of the last game of Pallcanestro Cantù’s season. A player doesn’t forget how to play defense, even if their shot isn’t falling like it once was.
