Scott Walker to Obama: Cancel Chinese state visit
“People are struggling to deal with the autumn in at the moment’s markets pushed partially by China’s slowing financial system and the truth that they actively manipulate their financial system”, Walker stated in a press release.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he would give China’s president a McDonald’s burger when he comes to visit, and the US should have put a tariff on Chinese goods to stop its currency devaluation on Monday’s “O’Reilly Factor” on the Fox News Channel.
“There’s serious work to be done rather than pomp and circumstance”, Walker said.
“It’s something I’ve talked about repeatedly…” “Because China is going bad, it’s going to bring us down too because we are so heavily coupled with China”, he said. Wall Street’s rout continued on Monday, with the Dow Jones Index down more than 1,000 points, or about six percent, shortly after the open.
Walker says Obama should hold China accountable for what he calls its “increasing attempts to undermine U.S. interests”.
Republican Scott Walker’s plan for repealing and replacing President Barack Obama’s health care law hinges on what many see as a almost insurmountable obstacle – getting 60 votes in the Senate. Among other things, Trump repeated his calls to end birthright citizenship. Walker appeared to walk back that idea at the weekend.
Asked about the presidential contenders’ remarks, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said their reaction “illustrates the difference between campaigning and governing”. “It’s just that we don’t get the same level of coverage”.
China’s troubles raise doubts about whether its policymakers have the tools to keep their economy growing at a healthy pace, something that’s been a reassuring constant for more than two decades.
Walker’s has not been the only voice, however, calling for a cancellation of next month’s festivities. The White House said President Xi would be travelling to US next month and all these issues will be raised by Obama during his meetings with his Chinese counterparts.
In April 2013, Walker and a state delegation including members of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection visited the country, which is the state’s third-largest export market behind Canada and Mexico.
