Randy Moss open to NFL return

Randy Moss has not caught a pass in an NFL game since 2012, and he turned 38 in February. “And I have been working out with a few guys over the offseason”.

Speaking on Fox’s pregame show Sunday night, Moss casually mentioned that he still has a desire to play football.

Randy Moss had this to say about coming out of retirement “I actually have not lost the itch”, Moss told Curt Menefee of FOX. “That’s the love for the game I have inside of me”, he told Menefee. But the one thing, I have been retired the last two years.

Moss didn’t play for the Vikings when they had those jerseys. That flawless season was eventually marred by the Patriots’ 17-14 loss to the New York Giants at Super Bowl XLII. The sky’s the limit for me, Curt. “We just have to wait and see!”

“I truly haven’t misplaced the itch”, Moss stated.

Moss seemed downright giddy as he discussed the possibility, which suggests that he either has made a decision to come back and/or that he knows the interest may be there. While prospective teams would not expect those kind of elite numbers, Moss could be looked at as a solid option to make a few important catches a game, especially in the 4th quarter.

At 38-years-old, Moss would likely be nothing more than a fourth or fifth wide receiver on a contending team.

Kelvin Benjamin of the Carolina Panthers is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, and according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, there are legitimate fears among Green Bay Packers fans that Jordy Nelson could also miss the rest of the year with a torn ACL.
