GTA V video editor is getting new features next month

Rockstar also teases that some “new gameplay” will be arriving for GTA Online Freemode, but we won’t be getting any additional details about that for the next couple of weeks. Then the clip can be loaded up and manipulated by changing the camera’s position and angle, adjusting the speed of the clip, and more.

Despite being released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 two years ago, Rockstar continues to make updates to Grand Theft Auto V. The recent one to be announced on the Rockstar Games Newswire, the Rockstar Editor, is now headed for PS4 and Xbox One.

The update will the gameplay capturing, editing, and directing suite to consoles, replete with new ambient audio options, Snapmatic integration, new fonts, and more.

I’m not playing Grand Theft Auto V these days, but I do enjoy seeing regular stunt videos and the occasional Scooby-Doo intro recreation.

This feature is already available on the PC version of the game.

After slowly but surely bringing some of those enhancements to the PS4 and Xbox One versions, developer Rockstar is now preparing another hefty update for the popular open world game.

A new Director Mode lets you better control your time of day settings, and spawn air or water vehicles. The editor was released back in April 2015 and has since produced numerous in-game recorded viral videos that have spread in Youtube and other social media networks.

To see what the Rockstar Editor is capable of, check out the Ill-Gotten Gains victor below. Unfortunately, the last-gen consoles simply can’t run the editor due to hardware issues.

Video creators have made good use of the Rockstar Editor despite its PC exclusivity.
