“In the words straight out of Leah’s mouth, this is so awesome!!” Despite the tragic news of her illness, Leah has been keeping her spirits high and very positive throughout the treatment and rigorous fighting process. Her father brought down the house with his speech. At the time, she was given a 50-50 chance to live.

To alleviate some of Still’s stress, the Bengals opted to temporarily move the defensive tackle to the practice squad, enabling him to have more flexibility while still earning team medical insurance. He started the season on the practice squad but made the active roster in Week 2. She was awarded the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the ESPYs, starred in the Sarah Bareilles and Cyndi Lauper’s video “Truly courageous”, which raised more than $500,000 for the American Cancer Society.
