Rams RB Gurley cleared for team practice
The St. Louis Rams announced on Monday that running back Todd Gurley has been cleared to practice.

Gurley is making his way back from a torn ACL suffered last November. Up to this point he’s just been participating in the one-on-ones.
According to Dani Klupenger of Fox Sports Midwest, the team will slowly get Gurley back into football shape before allowing him to take part in full practices. Though he has mostly been rehabilitating his knee, Gurley began doing light workouts with the training staff during organized team activities.
Fisher stated Gurley won’t play within the preseason, and the coach stated he did not know whether or not Gurley will probably be prepared for the season opener September 13 vs. the Seattle Seahawks. “He may have a day without work right here and there, however it’s excellent news”. Then his fun stopped when the game started because he wanted to play. “Dr. (James) Andrews was really pleased with his progress, the way he’s cutting”.
Wide receiver Brian Quick, rehabbing from shoulder surgery, could make his make his preseason debut Saturday against the Colts.
“He’s going to continue to run the ball the next two games”, Fisher said. That yellow hat will be worn by Gurley.
Additionally, Fisher said sixth-round pick Cody Wichmann has been taken off the PUP list, and will be able to participate in practice.

The head coach said earlier in camp that he expected the wide receiver to play in the preseason and be productive.
