Willis said it was days ago when he took his son Azai, 4, to exchange a duplicate gift he had received from his July 26 birthday party.

The production company founder took the opportunity to post a video and tell his sons: “You have my promise forever to love you and accept you no matter what life you choose”. That’s how mama and I, that’s how we are, right? Accompanied to the toy store to change one, in front of the shelves he chose what for the majority is a classic feminine: a doll.

With the video earning over 11.5 million views and comments giving two virtual thumbs up, it’s pretty easy to see why so many appreciate little Azai’s honesty and Mikki’s ability to support his son’s decision.

“People are asking me, how did you feel the moment Azai chose that doll?'” he wrote.

As the post gained momentum on social media, Mr Willis added a note to his original post.

“I really wasn’t shocked at all because he’s equally fascinated by princesses and robots and I think that’s really behavior”, Willis said. “I don’t want my boys to adapt to the programming that… women should be built like a Barbie”. I backed off knowing this would be the catalyst for us to have a powerful conversation about the beauty of body-types and racial equality.

So Mikki then made his son check out all the dolls in the store before coming back to buy Ariel.
