Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Mark Costello was stabbed to death on Sunday night-apparently at the hand of his own son.

An Oklahoma City man accused in the deadly stabbing of his politician father at a fast-food restaurant is scheduled to appear before a judge. “He then went outside to the south of the restaurant and was confronted again”.
The attack began inside a Braum’s grill and ice cream shop, and continued outside with Christian allegedly stabbing his father in the head. Condolences poured in within hours of Costello’s death.
Mark Costello was in his second term as labor commissioner and was considered a rising star in the state’s Republican Party. His son was taken into custody by Oklahoma City Police. “During this hard time for his family, I pray that the Lord’s comfort will be near to their hearts and that the support and prayers of their friends will be overwhelmingly felt”, Cole said.
The outpouring of sympathy for Costello’s tragic murder came from all levels of Oklahoma politics. “He loved Oklahoma and was very passionate about making this a business-friendly state”.
Costello is survived by his wife and their five children, including Christian.
