Terrence Howard wins divorce payment row

During a four-day hearing in which Howard was seeking to overturn the settlement, it was revealed that he had quietly divorced his third wife, Mira Pak, in July, though Pak appeared next to him in court every day of the hearing.

However, Judge Thomas Trent Lewis ruled against her Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Terrence Howard can breathe easier now that a Los Angeles judge ruled in his favor Monday to overturn his 2012 divorce settlement to his second wife, Michelle Ghent.

“Today’s ruling represents not only a watershed event in the life of Mr. Terrence Howard whose financial livelihood was hanging in the balance, but it’s a precedent setting ruling that will have implications for the entire family law bench and bar in California”, Kramer wrote in a statement.

During this up and down journey, Howard claimed that he was pressured into signing an agreement that would give Ghent the right to receive close to $6,000 a month, which would be “hush money” for all of the drama and evidence Ghent claimed she had on Howard.

The actor called it “blood money”.

Terence Howard emerged successful in his court battle against ex-wife Michelle Ghent regarding their divorce settlement; however, it took the “Empire” star’s dark secrets to be publicly disclosed amid the said trial. He told Lewis that leaking the information at the time would have ended his acting career.

Michelle’s lawyer asked Terrence why he said he loved her in an October 2013 phone call when he claimed she tried to extort him just a year earlier.

Ghent has accused Howard of abusing her on multiple occasions and has an active restraining order against the actor.
