Behar back on ‘The View’; Cameron Bure, Faris also co-hosts
Last season the producers attempted a major shakeup by bringing back Rosie O’Donnell, who had previously been with the show for its 10th season. But will Candace Cameron-Bure, Paula Faris and Joy Behar be able to create more interesting debates? Raven-Symoné and Michelle Collins are already co-hosts, so the rebuild is now officially complete. She said she’s happy to be returning to the show, especially with election season heating up. During her first stint on The View, Behar also hosted a show for several years on HLN and, later, Current TV.

ABC released the names of three new co-hosts for “The View” on a August. 25. Faris, a Jackson native and ABC News Correspondent tweeted the announcement Tuesday afternoon adding she will continue to work as the “Good Morning America” weekend edition co-anchor.
Welcome to an all new View – with a few familiar faces! “I am honored to be a new addition to such a strong group of bright and opinionated women, and I look forward to sharing this exciting journey with viewers new and old”.
And this, from ABC News/”GMA” vet Farris: “I’m humbled and excited to have not one, but two dream jobs – “Good Morning America” and “The View“, said Faris. “If they would give me a bigger role on the show and give me some power to… make some changes and let them benefit from my expertise after being there for 16 years”.

Behar, an original host, will return to the ABC chatfest when the new season starts September 8. “I can’t wait to connect with the audience in a new way as I take a seat alongside this exceptional group of women”. In addition to Behar, though, former co-host Sherri Shepherd will be back as a “regular contributor”, rotating appearances with Molly Sims, Padma Lakshmi, Stacy London, and Ana Navarro.
