Anfield chiefs are desperate to offload the maverick frontman who has been a major flop since making a Premier League return and they are trying to ship him out on loan to his former club.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers states that he and his side have a clear game plan to get a result against Arsenal.

According to Sky Sport Italia the striker could undergo his medical in the next 24 hours, with Milan and Liverpool now discussing a potential buyout clause as part of the loan deal.

“I’m not going to comment, but like (Italian singer) Antonello Venditti once said, there are certain loves which go such a long way and then they come back”, Galliani said. Instead of the president of Sampdoria or a third tier Italian club expressing their undying wish for Balotelli to pull on their team colours, it’s AC Milan putting their hat in the ring for Balotelli’s skills.

Balotelli is way down the striking pecking order at Anfield and has been told to find a new club.

Mihajlović was an assistant under the stewardship of Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan for a year while Balotelli was there, and thus would have at least some personal familiarity with the player beyond what he reads in the press.

Balotelli is yet to feature for Liverpool this campaign with his off-the-field antics once again receiving more coverage than his time spent on the pitch.
